Lead with expertise.We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, advisory, and strategic planning for a leading organisation. This is a senior role requiring technical depth, leadership, and an ability to navigate complex tax environments with precision.About the RoleYou will manage the full spectrum of tax operations, from advisory and compliance to dispute resolution. Working closely with leadership, you'll ensure tax efficiency, compliance with legislation, and deliver innovative solutions to complex tax matters.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert tax opinions, legal writing, and advisory servicesOversee tax accounting, returns, and provisional tax calculations (companies, trusts, individuals)Manage SARS audits, verifications, and disputes (objections, ADRs, VDPs, suspensions of payment)Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with new legislation and pronouncementsDraft and review tax rulings and submissionsEnsure compliance with transfer pricing and estate duty regulationsAdvise on tax implications for business strategy, mergers, and cross-border transactionsLead a small team of tax professionals and provide mentorshipWhat You BringCA (SA) with a Masters in Taxation (essential)10+ years' experience in tax advisory and complianceStrong technical knowledge of corporate tax, SARS processes, and dispute resolutionProven experience in transfer pricing and estate dutyExcellent communication and leadership skillsMust reside within 30km of BedfordviewWhat Success Looks LikeTax compliance fully aligned with legislative changesEfficient management of audits and disputes with positive outcomesProactive advisory that supports business growth and strategyA high-performing, well-led tax functionEdgexec (Pty) LtdRecruiter
