My client is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Financial Administrator to join their finance team.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in keeping financial operations running smoothly.This role is 6 month maternity contract based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and prepare local and offshore payments for review and release
  • Maintain and reconcile multiple cashbooks and petty cash accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies promptly
  • Process basic accounting entries (debits and credits) in the financial system
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable subledgers
  • Monitor cash requirements and manage surplus funds effectively
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end processes, including journals and accruals
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and regulatory compliance
  • Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support to the Group Financial Manager
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 4 years experience in a similar finance or administrative role within the Financial Services industry (non-negotiable)
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
