- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree highly advantageous
- Motor dealership experience as a Dealer Principal highly advantageous, or alternatively Sales Management experience with DP relief/support
- Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience
- Experience in people management and financial management
- Valid drivers license
- Skills/qualifications required:
– Trade practices
– Consumer Protection Act knowledge
– Occupational Health and SafetyKey Performance Areas:
- Maintain good liaison with Senior level management
- Execute all agreed projects and maintain the initiative
- Ensure customer satisfaction:
– Track and monitor all client satisfaction interventions and action any areas of concern
– Monitor CSI score and action all areas of non-compliance
- Achieve financial targets:
– Manage all costs in line with budget
– Investigate and action any items of over expenditure
– Review the management accounts and explain/or action all areas of discrepancy
– Investigate discrepancies and correct or justify
- Achieve all sales targets:
– Plan and oversee sales campaigns, advertising and promotional activities and to ensure their cost-effectiveness
– Achieve second gross sales targets as set by the mandating authority
- Manag stock (vehicles and parts):
– Ensure all stock is sold within target days
– Develop sales plan for all stock approaching or exceeding target days ensuring no stock exceeds target days
– Monitor all interest payments and action all areas of concern
- Manage people:
– Ensure staff are trained and developed based on identified training needs
– Ensure performance appraisals are conducted as per Group Policy
– Ensure general discipline in the branch and ensure corrective action is taken on all misconduct incidents
– Adhere to HR policies, procedures and requirements to ensure sound people practices
– Ensure regular meetings with EE and Skills Development Committee members
- Manage the day to day operations of the branch:
– Ensure all required BBBEE initiatives for the branch are executed
– Ensure branch remains within the EE goals
– Ensure all housekeeping standards are maintained
– Ensure health and safety standards and legal requirements are met
– Deal with Consumer Protection Act queries
– Safeguard all assets ensuring proper recording and maintenance of them
– Ensure the dealership is legally compliant and meets all statutory requirements
