- Manage a creative team of 2 writers, 4 designers, 1 DTP operator, and freelancers as needed
- Be responsible for all creative output across all clients
- Inspire, manage and motivate the team through regular check-ins and initiatives
- Have a conceptual bent, and be able to crack concepts, with and without the team, and review those presented to you, as well as improving and building on ideas presented
- Manage the delivery of the briefs/concepts through to final deliverables together with Traffic, ensuring all artworks are delivered on time and to specification
- Present strategy, ideas and creative to stakeholders for sign off
- Assist with the broader creative team's workload where appropriate from a copywriting or design perspective. This is a hands-on role, and you will need to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the day-to-day
- Review all copy and design that comes out of the studio across all clients to ensure the work remains to a high-standard
- Understand metrics, and weigh-in on results with ideas on how to optimise campaigns and programmes
- Help with strategy across new business, pitches, and current clients according to needs
- Understand customer touchpoints and journeys and channel matrices in order to craft solutions for clients and prospective clients
- Participate in Publicis Creative Counsel initiatives, and attend meetings of the broader Africa and Global creative team
- Managing and crafting awards entries and case studies
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 5 years+ working experience as a Creative Director in the loyalty, DM and CRM fields, leading a team of creatives
- A good command of the English language (both written and verbal)
- Strong presentation skills and leadership experience
