General:
- Required to do tool checks & where applicable (Responsible for “lost” tools)
- Perform any other tasks as instructed by National Coffee Manager
- Operational assistance and guidance to Customer on equipment
- Groomed well and vehicle kept clean and neat to meet professional image for the business.v Promote company ethics and values at all times.
- Announcing him to management of establishment with explanation for purpose of visit
- Work Standby as required from time to time
- Stick to route planned as per Brew Coffee SLA
- Repair Faulty Equipment
- Fault Finding – Intermediate to Advanced – mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & software related
- Testing all equipment to ensure it is mechanically, aesthetically and functionally acceptable
- Calibrating and or programming of equipment to ensure the right quality of coffee products is produced
- Install Beverage Equipment & Test with Product before leaving Customer
- Upliftment of Equipment
- Clearly communicate Fault on Equipment & Corrective action taken to Manager on site
- Inform field service coordinator OR technical support manager of updates or returns
- Escalate any problems i.e. wrong address, site not ready, no product etc. to T.S.M. immediately
- Phone for assistance from Internal Specialists when struggling to Repair equipment within reasonable & acceptable time
- First time repair of equipment
- Preventative checks & repair on equipment
The Technician must have basic, intermediate & advanced skill within the items and machine listed belowAdvanced skills as defined below:
- Detailed knowledge on machine functions and specifications i.e. capacity, brew time, electricity requirements etc.
- Advanced knowledge of water and coffee cycle
- Ability to program advanced parameters and set the machine according to customers drinks specifications
- Knowledge of electric circuits also using Multimeter to test
- Knowledge of hydraulic circuits
- Able to strip & re-assemble machine components
- Understanding and measuring of Extraction through machine
- Methodical understanding of brew process, water in – coffee out
- Fault finding mechanical & electrical & programming related
- Understanding of components & specifications such as switches, fuses, timers, inlet valves, element etc.
- Calibration of machine
- Basic understanding of electronic process during selection cycle

- Keep boot Stock to Pre-determined & acceptable value
- Do weekly counts & check Stock age analysis Report to ensure accurate boot stock
- Keep Vehicle clean, neat & safe at all times
- Keep Work area around machine uncluttered & safe
- Wear relevant protective clothing
- Ensure machines is always unplugged & de-pressurized or cool before working
- Ensure that customers don’t come in harm’s way when on site
- Only use tools trained on
- Consider the possible Risks of activity’s at customer
- Drive safe & within the Law at all times
- Good understanding of the risks of equipment, electrical, high temperature, pressurized vessels, sharp edges, lifting Techniques, dangerous chemicals etc.
- Time management
- Responsible for spares and tools
- Promote company ethics and values at all times.
- Quality of Workmanship
- Be cost conscious when selecting replacement spares during repairs
- Be cost conscious in driving style of company vehicles
- Determine if break down is Customer Negligence & inform Management
