- Manage the Guest Relations Division, ensuring smooth service in dining areas, bomas and special events (e.g., bush dinners, drink stops).
- Build lasting relationships with new and repeat guests.
- Continuously enhance and refresh guest experiences to make them feel special and valued.
- Oversee all aspects of beverage stock management.
- Maintain daily stock control systems and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Handle purchasing, receiving and issuing of stock.
- Conduct daily and monthly stock takes with accurate reconciliation.
- Manage invoices, GRVs and ensure bars/cellars are well-stocked.
- Support management with reporting and administration.
- Lead, inspire and motivate the Guest Relations team.
- Ensure staff are well-trained, guest-focused and positioned effectively.
- Foster a culture of learning, service excellence and "going the extra mile."
- Recognize positive guest feedback and handle complaints constructively.
- Manage performance, scheduling and leave cycles.
- Collaborate with the Food Division to exceed guest expectations.
- Assist with front-of-house duties during arrivals, departures and site inspections.
- Build strong relationships with local communities, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Diploma in Hospitality or Lodge Management.
- 35 years management experience in a 5-star lodge or similar environment.
- PAN knowledge will be an advantage
- Strong beverage knowledge and hospitality training experience.
- Proficient in administration, purchasing and stock control systems.
- Valid Code 8 Drivers License.
- Strong people skills with a passion for hospitality and guest service excellence.
- Solid knowledge of food, wine and cultural awareness.
- Flexible, proactive and detail-oriented with high energy and drive.
- Strong organisational, analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker with the ability to introduce and implement new ideas.
