- Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
- HR Degree or Diploma
- Relevant HR generalist experience minimum 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience on renumeration systems (knowledge of tax)
- Computer Literacy - MS Office Applications & Sage, Pastel, Oracle
- Own transport, able to work extended hours if/when required. Reside close to Pinetown, PMB, Cato Ridge, Umlazi

- Accountable for all Human Resource Departmental Audits including:
- Payroll & HR Compliance Audit
- Liaise with Auditor, execute and ensure all necessary audit requirements are completed and ensure compliance requirements are met as per required standards
- Ensure Recruitment & Selection as per company recruitment policy and in line with EE policy
- Submit recruitment file (as per recruitment checklist) to HR Head for review with recommended salary offer.
- Compile offer contracts/offers as per legal requirements
- Ensure recruitment methodology is conducted cost effectively. Source recruitment solutions in market constantly
- Ensure benchmark reports are conducted and updated for all positions
- Ensure all onboarding documents are completed and all new employees are captured on the HRMS and Payroll Systems
- Ensure all employees who leave the company complete their full and final documents.
- Medical Ad and Pension Fund termination to be processed in line with requirements from the service providers
- Overseeing the time and attendance system and ensure that any exceptions are resolved timeously.
- Conduct annual audits on staff Medical Aid membership
- Liaise with medical aid broker regarding annual increases, plan changes and other pertinent changes that may occur from time to time
- Effectively communicate changes and price increase to staff
- Liaise with external service providers regarding any changes to pension fund
- Ensure accurate data is maintained
- Overseeing that all employee pension fund records (including new entrant form, beneficiary nomination forms) are accurate and stored in a confidential filing system
- Overseeing the correct reporting of an injury on duty and ensure that a claim number is received
- End to end processing of company payroll
- Maintenance of payroll system, employee and leave records
- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries
- Interpreting agreements and contracts in terms of conditions of employment
- Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations
- Processing of termination payments, full and final documents
- Annual increment reports, payroll, and processing
- NMS Salary benchmark reports and recommendations for management
- Liaising with management and assisting to resolve queries
- Effective communication to staff regarding payroll changes and obtaining necessary sign off

- Payroll Reports (Cost to Company, Overtime)
- Leave Reports
- Annual Increment Report
- Stats SA Report (quarterly)
- Workmen's Compensation Return of Earnings (Annually)
- Initiate and formulate annual wellness calendar
- Planning and execution of Staff Wellness Days
- Planning and Execution of Staff Annual Medicals in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company Health Surveillance Policy
- Overseeing all employee health related needs and tracking, trending, and reporting of any issues that may affect work performance example Covid
- Initiate ideas for projects - conceptualise, develop plan, execute
- Conceptualising of events
- Presentation to management for approval
- Planning and execution of staff events
- Understand, support, and participate in 5S initiative
- Ensure work areas are maintained to Visual Standards
