Job Summary Location: Cape TownPurpose of Position:
  • Manage and administer key customer accounts.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with a portfolio of key customers to ensure sustainability and satisfaction.
  • Market company services and product offerings within the applicable customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned account portfolios.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Generate new sales that develop into long-lasting relationships to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers and internal stakeholders to review account performance.
  • Act as a link between sales and operations.
  • Provide business, technical, and product knowledge in support of customer solutions.
  • Manage customer relationships proactively.
  • Monitor market and customer activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Take ownership of all projects related to assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the communication link between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve issues and handle customer complaints to maintain trust.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using account metrics.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in private sector utility management or facility management.
  • Relevant business qualification.
  • Proven customer account management experience.
  • Operational management experience.
  • Project management skills and/or experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
