Responsible for Directs, develops and assists with the implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations or materials from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, or loss.-The Site Security Manager is accountable for implementing and managing the site security program following Security standards and direction.-Set, consolidate, and analyse all security weekly and monthly reports.-Site Security Set daily and weekly guard position roster.-Ensure radio communication equipment is in working order at all times.-Ensure replacements are arranged during guard absenteeism via the security company. Ensure panic buttons are in working order and tested regularly.-Ensure camera equipment is in working order and recording daily. Observe and analyse staff movement via live or recorded footage when required.-Co-ordinate Joint Planning Committee meetings on behalf of the Index Group / Client;-Co-ordinate and manage security clearance applications;-Conduct security awareness training to Client staff when required, tenants and contractors;-Ensure night duty guards are posted. Monitor loading and offloading of stock at the warehouse to identify any security risks.-Provides consultation with the Index Group Security Manging Director in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes on site to reduce financial loss to the Company. Identify significant risks, design, and implement strategies and programs to prevent/reduce loss of Company assets. Achieve risk reduction through increased security awareness.-Provides advisory for Travel Security and support company travelers with guidelines on travel risks and protection especially for high-risk travel.-Previous experience in remote monitoring and remote access and ability to design site security solutions (access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection alarms, Control Room design and management etc.)-Develops close relationships with law enforcement agencies (SAPS SANDF, SSA etc), security agencies, and private sector counterparts across the geographical region while guiding development of these same relationships for Facility Security Owners.-Briefs senior management on status of security issues.-Supports supply chain business partners in the logistics, transportation, distribution, and storage of company products and assets to ensure security standards are implemented.-Carries out periodic risk assessment to identify, evaluate and counter security threats to company personnel, Information, Infrastructure, and business operations/activities in a timely and cost-effective manner.-Conduct quarterly, bi annual and annual security audit, compliance and verifications.-Performs other duties as assigned by Index Group Security Managing Director relating to advisory and consulting services, security risk & site assessment, surveys and related security concerns and responses.-Ensure that sufficient Security induction and training is provided, as required.-Ensure that emergency response plans are available and tested for emergencies such as adverse weather, fires, crime, threats or civil disobedience/ protests.-In addition, to the above-mentioned responsibilities, this role will also support Regional Security on complex or high-impact investigations and projects, as needed.-Superior knowledge of national political events-Ability to communicate effectively in crisis situations and to take initiative and multi-task under pressure.-Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; accurate typing skills Expected to be on call and respond timeously to Plant Security related matters.Minimum Requirements:-Matric certificate,-Security / Risk Management Degree or equivalent-Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A-and accreditation.-At least 5 years experience in the security.-Specialized education/ Valid Certifications in Security management, physical security and CCTV operating systems are preferred-Min 3-5 years Law enforcement experience and min 3-5 years Corporate Security management experience ideal.-3-5 years of physical and electronic security experience, including working with CCTV and access control systems, security guard force management, site security design, security and risk assessments, supply chain security, and investigations.-Valid Firearms Competency (For business purposes SAPS Registered)-People management experience.-Fluency in English and proficiency in any other South African languages is an added plus.-Experience networking and engaging with law enforcement agencies ( SAPS, SANDF, SSA etc)Creative thinker who is assertive and disciplined to drive change.-Computer literacy on of Microsoft Office software/Programs.-Must have financial background and the understanding of budgeting.-Training and presentation skills.-Proven collaboration skills can lead internal/external multi-functional teams and meet externally driven deadlines despite multiple priorities.-Strong personal initiative and integrity, with ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance-Be accountable for the implementation, monitoring and compliance of the Groups Security policies, systems, procedures and standards.-Sound planning, administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required.-Strong planning, leadership and organizational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.-Own reliable transport and valid Drivers License is required.-Willing to work extended hours. (24/7) standby.-No Criminal Record or any pending cases.
