have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school
have 4 + years' experience in remedial teaching in the Foundation Phase and/experience in remedial support
have a Degree in Education or Degree with additional Diploma in Education, specialising in the Foundation Phase, post graduate
have specialised further training and Qualifications: Remedial or Special Needs
be passionate about teaching boys and assisting children with barriers to learning
have strong admin and organisational skills
have sound report writing skills
be a good communicator with parents, staff and associated therapists
have strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in a team
have a SACE Registration
Criminal and Sexual Offenders Clearance Certificate

Key Performance Areas:

Grade 1 Remedial Class teacher
Implement programmes and initiatives that are in line with the strategic vision of the School
Plan and implement an educational programme that is relevant and complies with the assessment criteria for Grade 1 LSC
Develop and re-assess curriculum in line with governmental requirements
Keep abreast of educational trends, new developments and best practice in teaching and learning support
Experience with interpretation and understanding of Psychology, Occupational therapy and Speech & Language Reports
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate records of pupil information
Working with online learner management system e.g. Google Classroom
