- Ensure that invoice number(s) and number of stock correspond with that on the trip sheet before loading the stock – are the products being delivered marked with corresponding invoice number
- Ensure that all stock is accounted for and no parcels have been tampered with
- Load van according drivers instructions to ensure an effective delivery.
- Group stock according invoice number.
- Stock is loaded onto vehicle in a controlled manner, ensuring no damage to, or loss, of stock items.
- Ensure that the correct stock and documentation is removed from the van.
- Greet and acknowledge the customer
- Deliver goods in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Include but not limited to – Invoices, GRN’s, Receipt books.
- Resolve customer queries in a professional manner?
- All furniture installations according to customer specifications and company processes and procedures
- Ensure all COD cash is handed to and signed off by relevant person.
- Ensure all undelivered goods and invoices are handed to and signed off by the despatch controller and re-entered on trip sheet for next delivery.
- Ensure GRN books and returns are handed to and signed off by the relevant person
- Ensure all delivered invoices and tripsheets are handed in to relevant person
- Clearing vehicle of all undelivered stock and waste before next delivery.
- COD monies are handed to relevant person on return from delivery route.
- Stock returned in conjunction with goods return notebook is handed to relevant person.
- Undelivered goods and invoices are handed to relevant person.
- Carries out all instructions and requests of the vehicle driver and management ensuring that a professional, efficient and effective customer service is provided at all times.
- Maintain the professional image of the company by wearing the required uniform and name badge.
- Matric / NQF 4
- Wholesale and retail experience / previous experience in retail, warehouse, or furniture industry
- Knowledge of furniture
- Knowledge of stock handling and delivery processes.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be reliable, honest, and physically fit (able to lift and carry furniture safely).
- Knowledge of PE routes and surrounding areas will be an advantage.
