Data Architect

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture strategies and frameworks.

• Ensure data models support business requirements, scalability, and security.

• Define and implement data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards.

• Work with stakeholders to align data strategies with organisational objectives.

• Lead the selection and implementation of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure).

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure integration of data architecture within overall enterprise architecture.

• Conduct regular data architecture reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and industry regulations.

• Qualification:

• Minimum NQF Level 7 in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Business, or Engineering.

• TOGAF 9

• AWS Solution Architect

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

• Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBok)

• More than 7 years’ experience in Data Architecture or related roles.

• Proven ability to design and implement enterprise data models, data integration strategies, and governance frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and database technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF).

• Expertise in cloud-based data services (AWS, Azure).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
