We are looking for a Consumable Buyer/Procurement/Purchasing Officer based in Gqeberha in the Manufacturing industry.Job Summary:As a Consumable Buyer/Procurement/Purchasing Officer, your role will focus on supplier
relationship management, and ensuring the optimal balance between cost, quality, and
efficiency in the consumable procurement process. A pivotal role in securing high-quality
and cost-efficient supplies for our business.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Implement and optimize procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and
financial efficiency.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards in
Consumable procurement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand end-user requirements and
preferences.
  • Streamline and enhance the procurement process for Consumables, ensuring
efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement procurement strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and advancements and prices
changes in Consumable procurement.
  • Achieve targeted cost savings in Consumable procurement through negotiation
and strategic sourcing.
  • Monitor and enhance supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and high quality products.
  • Implement improvements in the procurement process to enhance efficiency and
reduce lead times.
  • Generate reports for management on stock levels, purchasing activities, and cost
analysis.
  • Follow-up on quotes, back orders, pricing requests daily.
  • Raising purchase requisitions > purchase orders > goods receipt, ensuring the
documents are correctly processed and approved. Follow up on any outstanding
documents.
  • Consumable procurement for all four offices.
  • Estimate and establish budgets for purchases.
  • Maintain purchase records and other important data
  • Negotiate pricing and supply contracts.
  • Complete all supplier credit application forms and obtain all supporting
documentation.
  • Processing of staff expense claims.
  • General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Raises accruals at month end for expenses.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Attention to detail and meticulous are essential.
  • Calculations, reconciliations and resolving queries.
  • Streamline and efficient.
  • Planning and organising skills are key and excellent time management skills.
  • Analyse information quickly with good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Bachelor's degree in business - Supply Chain Management or
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Procurement (certified through
