The Girls' College provides a safe, nurturing and inclusive community where young women are encouraged to explore, experiment and investigate.SWIMMING COACH (Part-time)This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be paid a fixed term contract according to their expertise and coaching level. The Girls' College invites applications for the abovementioned position which will be available from 1 January 2026. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competencies to take on this position.The requirements for this position are:
- A minimum of 2 years coaching experience at Open level.
- A competitive level (post matric) or coaching experience in a school, university or club environment is preferred.
- A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to fostering and building inclusiveness and diversity.
- An awareness of and willingness to commit to the school's all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
- Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender's clearance certificate before employment can commence
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Daily morning training sessions as well as one gala day per week
- Availability for all training and galas
- Be involved in the Learn to Swim program
- Coaching and management of a swimming team - Setting up team lists etc
- Working with other swimming coaches
- Individual and holistic development of students as social and high-level athletes
