- Work in close partnership with the Group HR Business Leader and HRBP’s, in full support of the functional and operational HR plans for Head Office
- Provide support, input to and implement action plans to achieve agreed business objectives in line with Company principles and values
- Actively support and contribute to the delivery of key objectives of the team
- Apply practical learnings and experience to become competent in the following key areas of responsibility:
- Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure the implementation of sound and fair HR practices
- Conduct sound employee life cycle management practices in line with our company vision of being a #1 Employer
- Ensure sound employee & employer relations management practices in line with all Labour Legislation and company policies & procedures
- Act as a custodian of the company culture, values and principles in line with the company brand
- Provide constant, effective and efficient administrative services through a professional approach
- Drive continuous improvement, individual initiative and self-development
- Execute and deliver on ad-hoc HR Projects, Interventions and duties
- Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology or similar
- Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience in an HR Admin / Intern role is required
- Preference will be given to candidates with HR experience within a Retail Operations environment
- Working experience with various HR Information Systems is preferred (including payroll systems, recruitment platforms, etc.)
- Preference will be given to candidates with PaySpace experience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of all SA Labour Legislation is important: LRA, BCEA, SD9, EEA, B-BBEE, SDA
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices in the following categories are advantageous for this role:
- Recruitment Trends
- Industrial relations
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook is required
- Preference will be given to candidates with an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle
