- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software
- Process and reconcile daily sales reports, supplier invoices, and bank statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with compliance to SARS requirements.
- Perform monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Assist with payroll preparation and related reconciliations (e.g., PAYE and UIF).
- Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documentation and audit readiness.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, Auditors, and suppliers.
- Monitor cash flow and petty cash transactions for various business units.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance/accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong Excel skills and an understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Knowledge of South African tax regulations and payroll systems.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (Diploma or Certificate).

- 1–2 years' experience in a finance or office admin role
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good communication and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
