The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant and machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and sawmill-related equipment.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and machineryInstall and set up new equipment efficientlyMaintain accurate records of work performedSupport apprentices and semi-skilled artisans through on-the-job trainingEnsure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standardsAssist with planned maintenance programmes and fault diagnosisRequirementsRequirements:Matric / NTC 3Trade-tested Fitter (Red Seal); Fitter & Turner advantageousMinimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (sawmill experience preferred)Proven welding skills and machine setup experienceCode EB driver's licence with own transportWillingness to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends, and standby dutiesEnglish proficiency; Xhosa an advantageBenefits
