Salary: R1.2 million – R1.5 million per annum (Total Cost to Company)IntroductionWe are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead a digital transformation journey. This is a high-impact executive role for a forward-thinking leader who can influence across all levels of the organization, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and digitally empowered culture. Reporting directly to the CEO and CFO, the CDO will play a pivotal role in driving strategic digital initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals.Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Technology, Information Systems, or Project Management (or equivalent).
- Champion digital innovation and act as a catalyst for organizational change.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap.
- Drive the digitization of legacy processes and systems, ensuring measurable impact.
- Foster a culture of digital-first thinking and innovation throughout the business.
- Monitor and optimize ROI from digital investments and initiatives.
- Define and articulate the company’s digital vision in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to integrate digital initiatives into core business operations.
- Lead the ideation and execution of cutting-edge digital solutions across products, services, marketing, and operations.
- Oversee the digital innovation portfolio, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Establish and expand a robust digital ecosystem, both within the organization and with external partners.
- Identify, evaluate, and deploy emerging technologies such as AI, automation, CRM platforms, and other digital tools that drive business value.
- Support organizational capability building by working with leadership to identify digital skills needs and implement upskilling strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing digital team.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to digital transformation.
- 5–7 years’ experience in a senior digital leadership role with a focus on digital transformation and innovation.
- Proven success in designing and launching impactful digital platforms and programs.
- Proficiency on Syspro is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of business operations and the technology required to optimize them.
- A strategic thinker with a disruptive, innovation-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
- Hands-on experience in team leadership and performance management in a digital environment.
