Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Factory Manager to oversee the production of decorative and light industrial paints in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, ensuring quality control, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining a safe and harmonious working environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management:
  • Plan, organize, and direct production to meet customer demand and quality standards.
  • Supervise production staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Monitor production workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
2. Quality Control:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address quality issues.
3. Safety and Environmental Management:
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures and training programs.
  • Oversee environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
4. Efficiency and Cost Optimization:
  • Analyse production data to identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve production goals.
5. Team Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and performance issues.
6. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate production plans, progress, and issues to relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and research and development.
Job Requirements:1. Education:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, engineering, business administration).
2. Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in paint manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in production management, quality control, and team leadership.
3. Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of paint manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
4. Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or OHSAS 18001.
