An exciting opportunity has opened for a Bookkeeper to join a dynamic Group Finance team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with strong finance and administration expertise, eager to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment within the financial services sector.As the Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of core finance functions, from managing cashbooks and payments to supporting reconciliations, month-end processes, and audits.As a Bookkeeper you will responsible for the following:
- Schedule and prepare local and offshore payments for review and release.
- Maintain and reconcile multiple cashbooks and petty cash.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Process basic accounting entries in the financial system.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable subledgers.
- Monitor cash requirements and manage surplus fund movements.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, journals, and accruals.
- Prepare supporting documents for audits and regulatory purposes.
- Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support to the Group Financial Manager.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
35 years experience in a finance or administrative role (financial services preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central highly preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, SAP, or Pastel is an advantage.
