- Creating marketing and sales plans together with the Local Sales Coordinator (SC) to best reach our client’s target audiences - both trade and consumer
- Implementing marketing activities according to the agreed annual marketing plan
- Communicating across all platforms to all stakeholder groups, creating visual and written materials
- Acting as brand champion, maintaining the “brand bible” to ensure consistency across all communications
- Ensuring all materials reflect our client’s values and personality
- Controlling the marketing budget against agreed plans
- Monitoring effectiveness and monthly tracking/reporting of all marketing activities
- Supporting the SC in creating an annual promotional calendar to promote local sales of specific wines
- Representing brand at trade events and other public appearances as required
- Supporting the owner on all marketing fronts, both Local and international, including diary management
- Identifying new Export markets, in agreement with the owner, researching and approaching potential partners
- Communicating with existing Export clients to explore ways of increasing sales/cross-sell
- Undertaking market visits, local and international, as required
- Providing support for the owners overseas visits as necessary
- Social media - Managing and executing all aspects of social media to ensure planned and coordinated messaging
- Collateral/marketing materials - Creating all required marketing materials
- Website - Ensuring the website is current and appropriate to the brand
- PR/media - Ensuring a high profile for the brand across local and international media
- Photography and videos - Managing the photography and video requirements for all platforms to ensure consistency
- Competitions - Managing competition entries both local and international
- Wine Club - Undertaking design and copywriting of all communication with Wine Club members
- Trade Shows and Consumer Events - Supporting SC and other members of the team as necessary in attending trade and consumer events
- Tasting room - Support the SC and TRA for promoting the tasting room
- Track record in marketing/brand management, ideally 3+ years
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Capacity to be creative and innovative in designing marketing plans and materials
- An understanding of the latest marketing techniques and practices
- Good industry knowledge both trade and consumer - WSET qualification at Level 2 or above would be a plus
- Good IT knowledge including PowerPoint and Excel
- Proven experience of budget management and forecasting
- Demonstrable education in marketing to diploma level or higher
- Pro-active, driven, motivated and able to take initiative
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Ability to design and write creatively and effectively
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to work autonomously in a small team environment
- Ability to live our client’s brand values
