As a detail-oriented Financial Accountant in the power solutions industry, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and control in a high-demand environment. With a strong foundation in accounting principles and a focus on cost efficiency, you support the delivery of reliable energy solutions by managing financial operations that power both the business and its clients.Location: Johannesburg West

As a Financial Accountant in the power solutions industry, you bring strong technical expertise and financial discipline to support the supply and maintenance of diesel generators, helping deliver dependable energy while driving cost efficiency, compliance, and growth behind the scenes.Duties:

Financial reporting
General ledger maintenance
Budget preparation & monitoring
Fixed asset management
Accounts reconciliations
Tax compliance
Cost accounting
Audit preparation
Inventory accounting
Internal controls
Cash flow management

Computer Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel
Accounting software
Financial reporting tools
Pastel
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Budgeting & forecasting software
Microsoft Office Suite
SAGE
SAP

Skills Preferred:

Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Experience with cost accounting, especially in an operational or technical environment
Ability to manage fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory accounting
Strong understanding of tax compliance
Proficiency in accounting software
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Familiarity with ERP systems used in supply chain or maintenance-heavy industries
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies or inefficiencies
Strong problem-solving mindset for resolving accounting issues
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Collaborative attitude to work effectively with operations, logistics, and procurement teams
Understanding of inventory and asset management in an industrial or technical environment
Knowledge of financial practices in maintenance contracts, capital equipment, or engineering services

Qualifications:

SAICA
BCom Degree in accounting
Articles preferred

What Do You Need?:

BCom Financial Management or similar
CIMA will be an advantage
