Certificate or Diploma Plastic Manufacturing / Extrusion Operations / N6 Electrical / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering advantageous
Located in the eThekwini area - Hammersdale, Pinetown, Pietermaritzburg, Hillcrest
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Ability to be self-directed and multitask
Ability to follow directions

Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane license and operate a forklift and overhead crane
Must be prepared to work shifts.
Work overtime on request
Good Timekeeping and attendance are essential.Key Competencies: To report machine fault immediately to SIC.
Continuous monitoring of machine parameters and quality of product.
To follow and execute the various instructions given by the superiors based on time to time requirement related to operations
Perform to quality, waste, and production standards and goals
Meet the highest of quality standards
Report production accurately and timely including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, etc.
Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations
Maintain basic condition of machinery and report deviations to supervisor to include in abnormality list.
Ability to be self-managed and multi-task
Ability to communicate well with others
Ability to follow instructions
Accuracy and attention to detailDuties:Set-up execute relevant safety, quality, site rules, training, as per SOP.
Conducts proper shift handovers at each shift change
Feed raw material as per plan.
Complete all relevant logbook and checklist as per schedule on shift basis
Cut trim rolls and store in safe manner.
Start-up and set-up machine under supervisor instruction.
Initiate at least one Kaizen per month
Maintain 5S of machine and work area
Take lawful instruction from Supervisor
Ensure troubleshooting of machine/quality.
