intent and capabilities.Quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators)Set resource budgets (financial and headcount).Review and approve business cases for programs that situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.Governance and SecurityWorks with the Security team to ensure that the information used adheres to the regulatory and security policies and agreements in place and provides motivation to improve upon these where possible.Qualifies where information can be stored or what information, external to the organisation, may be used in support of the use case.Collaborates with the Security team to ensure that the information used follows the compliance, access management, and control policies and that it meets the qualification and assurance requirements of the Group.Ensures all IT and digital audits meet the standards set by the Group Audit and Risk Committee and other operating standards Formulate policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and ensure implementation thereof.Drives the development and execution of information security, disaster recovery and business continuity plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and assets.Board RelationshipHelp ensure the business has an effective Board by developing and improving relationships with Board members Professional Experience

15+ years in technology, telecommunications, or data analytics, with at least 5 years or more in executive leadership roles

Proven track record of launching and scaling data-driven platforms, preferably in fintech, telecoms, or cloud-based services

Experience in strategic planning, business development, and innovation leadership within high-growth environments

Demonstrated success in building partnerships with cloud providers, telecom operators, and enterprise clients

Strong background in systems engineering, product development, or data science is highly desirable

Industry Expertise

Deep understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including subsea cable systems, IP transit, and peering strategies

Familiarity with South African and African digital ecosystems, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics

Experience in disruptive business models that democratise access to technology or financial services

Leadership & Vision

Visionary leader with the ability to drive innovation and transformation across complex organisations

Skilled in team building, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership

Strong people manager with a proven ability to attract, develop and retain top talent across technical and commercial teams
