Job Description :Purpose of the RoleTo accurately perform wheel alignment procedures in accordance with vehicle manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal handling, tyre life, and road safety. The technician must conduct thorough inspections, interpret alignment reports, and apply precise adjustments using advanced alignment technology.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-alignment vehicle inspections (tyres, suspension, steering components, ride heights)Operate wheel alignment machines and software with accuracyInterpret alignment reports and identify necessary adjustmentsPerform alignment adjustments according to specificationsTest drive vehicles post-alignment to ensure accuracy and handlingMaintain workshop cleanliness and ensure tools/equipment are calibrated and functionalAdhere to safety standards and OHS regulationsSupport customer service by explaining findings and recommended actionsIdentify and pursue additional sales opportunities where appropriateKey Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsProficient in advanced wheel alignment equipment and systemsSkilled in diagnostics and adjustment techniquesSolid understanding of suspension and steering systemsAbility to follow technical procedures and manufacturer specsAnalytical & Problem-SolvingRead and interpret alignment readings accuratelyEvaluate vehicle performance during test drivesMake decisions based on technical knowledge and inspection resultsCustomer ServiceCommunicate technical information clearly to customersBuild rapport and trust with clientsPromote additional services when applicablePersonal AttributesHigh attention to detailHonest, trustworthy, and professionalSelf-motivated and reliableTeam player with strong work ethicUpholds company values and workplace cultureRequirementsMinimum RequirementsQualificationsGrade 12 (Matric)Valid driver’s license (Code B)Accredited Wheel Alignment Training (or willingness to complete)Additional technical qualifications (advantageous)ExperienceExternal applicants: Minimum 3 years’ experience in wheel alignmentInternal applicants: Minimum 6 months’ supervised experience in alignment bay and successful certificationOther RequirementsWillingness to work in a workshop environmentAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesFlexible to work overtime/weekends as neededCommitted to continuous learning and development
