- Install premade boilers into manufacturing facilities and other buildings
- Read and understand blueprints for the location, position, and dimension of boiler parts
- Complete job work orders and other needed maintenance documentation
- Organize and arrange pre-made boiler parts before assembly
- Identify all of the necessary tools required for tasks
- Assemble boiler tanks that often involves automatic or robotic welding
- Use scrapers, cleaning solvents and wire brushed to clean vats
- Inspect and perform tests on boiler systems to find any defects or leaks
- Repair or replace parts such as valves, joints, or pipes, using welding equipment, hand tools, and gas torches
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
- Analyzing the blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.
- Constructing structural components from raw materials.
- Using welding equipment to fuse structural components.
- Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.
- Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed.
- Creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.
- Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction.
- Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed.
- Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Appropriate state certification.
- Proven experience working as a fitter.
- Sound knowledge of local and state building codes.
- The ability to use hand and power tools.
- The ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems.
- The ability to concentrate for extended periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional welding and mechanical skills.
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating and managing technical equipment.
- Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules.
- Valid fork-lifting certificate.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
- Good physical condition.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.

- Good written and verbal communication.
- Delivering of goods;
- Collect and verify delivery instructions;
- Meeting of deadlines e.g deliver perishable good at the right specific time;
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance;

- Assisting loaders with double checking of orders;

- Transport cargo to and from distribution centres and plants.
- Code 10/14 driver’s license;
- Must stay in the Richards Bay area.
- 10 years’ FMCG/Retail experience.
