Food Safety & Systems Officer - VredndalFull job descriptionNamaqua Wines, based in Vredendal, currently has a position available for a Food Safety & Systems Officer to join their team.The overall purpose of this position will be to assist in the implementation, updating, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety (FSSC 22000) and Sustainability Systems within the Group.The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible for: *Ensuring that registers, records, and documentation relating to systems are maintained & updated *Recordkeeping and weekly follow-up on good manufacturing practices (GMP) inspections *Performing monthly glass breakage registers *Arranging food safety and sustainability meetings in collaboration with the management representative and relevant teams *Keeping updated records of local and international related acts, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance *Management of Product Specification System *Administration of the Supplier Management System concerning Food Safety; and collaboration with Health & Safety and Finance *Administration of the Corrective and Preventative Action System & doing follow-ups *Collaborating with HR on coordinating related internal training *Organising & assisting with induction-related training *Conducting internal and external supplier audits *Scheduling third-party audits *Assisting with preparation for customer audits *Assisting with system(s) related customer enquiries *Assisting with environmental monitoring program *Conducting monthly PRP verifications *Assisting with related risk assessments *Executing weekly and monthly water analysis *all other functions related to the position.Essential qualifications, skills and experience:BSc., BTech, or National Diploma in appropriate study field (Food technology preferred);Internal audit training (ISO 19011) & training in GFSI-recognized standards;At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role;Proficiency in Microsoft Office;Valid driver’s license & own reliable transport.Clear criminal record.Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 12 April 2024.For general enquiries, contact our team at M3 Human Capital Management on 021 863 1444.Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
