- Establish new business opportunities that bring sustainable EBIT growth.
- Develop a marketing plan.
- Establish a sales pipeline with a focus on customer conversion through value added selling techniques.
- Service existing customers where required and resolve account queries.
- Stay updated on the industry, market and competitor trends and developments.
- Exceed sales targets and provide regular sales reports.
- Engage the support of the internal office when necessary, so as not to delay the collections process.
- Relevant business operations qualification (e.g., BCom).
- Technical degree (e.g., BSc. Chemistry or BSc. Chemical Engineering).
- 5 - 10 years of experience in specialty chemicals, particularly Polymers that find application in several industry sectors which include water treatment and construction.
- Business acumen with strong financial expertise.
- Proven sales track record with excellent lead generation and conversion skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with hazardous chemicals and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel as and when required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
