- Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling allocated tasks as requested by the engineering manager
- Participating in investigating and taking corrective actions in the event of instrument failures and/or incidents
- Ensure that LMDC safety policy is applied by executing scheduled plant inspections
- Ensure installation and maintenance of plant control systems
- Provide input to project coordinators in terms of control system requirements
- Implements appropriate technological control solutions to ensure optimal process control and efficiency
- Ensure that control installations are configured according to appropriate standards and procedures
- Apply instrumentation theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational control
- Test and assemble experimental and operational instrumentation devices, pneumatics, and electronic components according to engineering data, and according to instrumentation principal's best practices
- Apply good fault-finding techniques on Rockwell, Siemens, and PLC/SCADA process with corrective action
- Ensure compliance and adherence to SHE policies, programs, practices, safety standards, and regulations
- Ensure good housekeeping standards and maintained
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly inspections
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Grade 12
- N3 Certificate
- National Technical Diploma
- 5 years of experience in the mining industry
- Salary: R750K/yr - R900K/yr, negotiable
