Job Summary Hire Resolve's client in the mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Instrument Technician in Brits, North West.Responsibilities

Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling allocated tasks as requested by the engineering manager
Participating in investigating and taking corrective actions in the event of instrument failures and/or incidents
Ensure that LMDC safety policy is applied by executing scheduled plant inspections
Ensure installation and maintenance of plant control systems
Provide input to project coordinators in terms of control system requirements
Implements appropriate technological control solutions to ensure optimal process control and efficiency
Ensure that control installations are configured according to appropriate standards and procedures
Apply instrumentation theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational control
Test and assemble experimental and operational instrumentation devices, pneumatics, and electronic components according to engineering data, and according to instrumentation principal's best practices
Apply good fault-finding techniques on Rockwell, Siemens, and PLC/SCADA process with corrective action
Ensure compliance and adherence to SHE policies, programs, practices, safety standards, and regulations
Ensure good housekeeping standards and maintained
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly inspections
Must be able to work overtime when required

Requirements

Grade 12
N3 Certificate
National Technical Diploma
5 years of experience in the mining industry

Benefits

Salary: R750K/yr - R900K/yr, negotiable
