Maintenance Manager (Engineering Department) - WitbankFull job descriptionOur client in the Emalahleni/Witbank area in need of a Maintenance Manager (Engineering Department), to manage the site maintenance activities and to ensure optimum level of availability on the plant, equipment and machinery. Previous experience in Cement, Ferro Alloys Plant/Smelter and Heavyn industry.The following requirements or other relevant qualifications / experience is required.BSc, BEng, BTech, national Diploma or equivalent, electrical / mechanical engineering.Government Certificate of Comptency (GCC) - factories± 5 Years middle / departmental management experience in asset/maintenance management in heavy industryPrior GMR 2.1/2.7 legal appointment, demonstrating good understanding of the OHS Act and its regulations, with 5+ years' experience holding such an appointmentValid driver's license and own transportComputer literate (MS Office suite)Outstanding organizational and Leadership abilitiesCompetent in problem solving, team building planning and decision makingExperience in asset maintenance systems and strategiesGood knowledge of maintenance principles and practices and experience in implementing systems and strategies for asset maintenance and planningGood knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems and root cause analysisDemonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems and making decisions.Desirable:Post graduate management qualification10 years' experience in the maintenance filed in heavy industryPractical experience in both the electrical and mechanical disciplinesProject management experienceExperience in WCMProficiency in CMMSTasks and Outputs & duties but not limited to:Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employeesEnsure compliance with organizational and legislative safety requirements by maintaining appropriate practices, standards and procedureEnsure that all procured and installed equipment and machinery complies with OHS act, regulations and applicable standards.Oversee maintenance activities to ensure safety, efficiency, quality control, budgetary control, service and cost-effective management of resourcesInitiate plans and processes to minimize maintenance costs through effective utilization of human resource, equipment, facilities, materials and capitalProvide technical assistance to staff in plant maintenance and repairsPrepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant and facilitiesDrive breakdowns investigation through the application of root cause analysis and other techniquesMonitor and report on plant availability, utilization and other KPI's, (MTBF, MTTR etc.), business and groupFor more information please contact:Yolanda Day-Garden
