Job Summary We have positions available for Tractor Technicians in Ventersorp. To qualify for this position candidates require: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics, agricultural mechanics or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with tractors or heavy equipment. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in tractors. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and parts. The duties expected of the successful applicant are as follows but not limited to: Perform diagnostic tests on tractors to identify faults and issues. Repair or replace faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, filters, and belts, lubricating parts, and adjusting engine components. Use electronic diagnostic equipment and computer software to locate and diagnose faults in tractors. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities performed on each tractor.
