Location: Johannesburg - SandtonPurpose of the PositionDrive new business growth and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the public utility sector, with a particular focus on district and local municipalities. This role involves proactively identifying opportunities, presenting tailored solutions, closing sales, and facilitating client onboarding in collaboration with internal teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Promote products and services to public sector clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the public utility sector.
  • Conduct prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and proposals to potential customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring high client satisfaction during the sales and onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate scoping and delivery of solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
  • Provide feedback on product offerings and identify market gaps to support innovation and product development.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, CRM entries, pipeline forecasts, and activity reports.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Electrical, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience within the public sector.
  • Ability to manage and influence customer expectations effectively.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
