Junior Agronomist

- Must have a B. Sc. Agric. or B. Agric. with Agronomy, and/ or Soil Science as major subjects
- SANSOR/BASOS/AVCASA accreditation will be of great advantage
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Agriculture
- A solid understanding, relevant experience, and knowledge of good agronomic practices are required
- Broad technical know-how of crops, products and farming practices is essential
- Basic trial design and agronomic crop production understanding is advantageous
- Fluency in Afrikaans (Read, Write, and Speak)
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel when required
- Developing and implementing product demonstrations in the field and region to support the overall sales and marketing strategy.
- Investigating, understanding, capturing, and communicating aspects of key crop production.
- Implementing regional business strategies and plans consistent with the overall marketing strategy.
- Implementing agreed demonstrations and in-field marketing trials and activities to influence and support sales.
- Recording and collating information and data to support product performance and assist Marketing with relevant data for the development of promotional material.
- Identifying key crops, products, market opportunities and threats.
- Developing the competence, motivation, and commitment of Dealers and Agents through effective training, promotion, and sales support aids.
- Keeping abreast of market, trade, and competitor activity to revise strategies according to changing requirements.
- Promoting and introducing products.
- Creating demand for the comprehensive range of seed.
- Establishing demo trials for field days.
- Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Gathering market intelligence and crop production information.
