As part of their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Engineering Manager to join their team.The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities at Evander Mine. They will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and leadership to the engineering team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the mine. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mining engineering, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering results.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize productivity and safety at Evander Mine.
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to develop integrated engineering solutions that enable the achievement of production targets and operational goals.
Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluation.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate actions.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate planned maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
Manage and control the engineering department budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and suppliers, to enhance the company's reputation and operational efficiency.
Monitor technological advancements in mining engineering and identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
Continuously promote and enforce safety protocols and standards, ensuring compliance and a strong safety culture across engineering activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
GCC Mines and Works
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing engineering operations in mining, with a focus on underground mining.
Professional registration with a recognized engineering body.
Proven experience in developing and implementing mining engineering strategies and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of mining regulatory requirements and standards.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence a diverse team.
Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and optimization.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders, including operational and maintenance teams.
High level of integrity and commitment to safety.

Benefits:

Salary: R2.3mil-R2.5mil per year
