Reporting to the Group Financial Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for various legal entities within the Group.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Secretarial:Preparing company resolutions and obtaining signaturesMaintaining resolution registerCommunicating with Company SecretariesEnsuing compliance with CIPC regulationsCompliance:Ensuring compliance with local regulations (KYC, FIC, POPI etc.)Ensuring compliance with Banking requirements and reportingEnsuring financial policies and procedures are aligned with statutory regulations and best practicesAssisting with bank administrationTaxation:Preparing and submitting tax returns including VAT, Dividend, Income Tax, and Provisional Tax to SARSManaging SARS correspondence, audits, verifications, and objections/disputesManaging access and updates to SARS e-filing profilesMonitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing the impact on the businessREQUIREMENTS:Degree in Accounting combined with law or equivalentProfessional qualification (CGISA - Chartered Secretary) is preferredRegistered tax practitioner3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a large corporate environmentIn-depth knowledge of SARS systemsFamiliarity with South African compliance regulations (CIPC, FIC, POPI etc.)Advanced MS Excel skills
