Onsite Manager Duties and Responsibilities1. Packing & Quality Control Oversight
  • Supervise all packing, strapping, and equipment preparation activities to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper handling and packing of equipment for both storage and transport.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and address non-conformances promptly.
2. Crate Management & Stockholding
  • Manage stockholding and allocation of crates, including sorting, returning, and timely distribution to designated areas.
  • Oversee crate inventory levels and initiate replenishment as needed to avoid delays in operations.
3. Equipment Strapping, Lashing & Movement
  • Ensure safe and compliant strapping/lashing of equipment to vehicles and within containers across the facility.
  • Supervise movement of equipment and materials, ensuring they are properly secured during handling and transport.
4. Power shrinking Operations
  • Oversee on-site power shrinking of equipment to ensure secure and protected packaging.
  • Monitor equipment condition, usage, and operator compliance with safety standards.
5. Container Operations Inbound & Outbound
  • Manage unloading of inbound containers and ensure items are checked and stored appropriately.
  • Supervise outbound packing, lashing, and container loading for timely dispatch.
6. RF Scanners & SAP EWM System Management
  • Ensure all packing activities are accurately recorded using RF scanners and the SAP EWM system.
  • Monitor data input for consistency, troubleshoot errors, and provide training/support to staff on system use.
7. Staff Management & Supervision
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate operational staff across all shifts to meet performance and safety expectations.
  • Plan and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing and workflow continuity.
  • Accurately record timekeeping and attendance for all staff, escalating discrepancies where necessary.
8. PPE Compliance & Safety Monitoring
  • Ensure all staff are equipped with the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are using it as required.
  • Conduct regular checks for compliance and take corrective action for non-adherence.
  • Promote a safety-first culture across all operational activities.
9. Communication with the company
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all site-related updates and escalations to management.
  • Provide regular operational updates, report incidents, and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and provide insights into site performance, issues, and improvement opportunities.
10. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Generate and submit regular reports covering productivity, equipment handling, crate usage, and staff performance.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with logistics, warehouse, and planning teams to support overall site goals and project delivery.
