Hire Resolve's Client is urgently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their mining company based in Gauteng.Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, Environmental Management Act, and other applicable legislation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits across mining operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and compile detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training for employees and contractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage environmental aspects, including waste management, pollution prevention, and rehabilitation measures.
- Grade 12
- BSc Degree in Environmental Science/Earth Science
- SAMTRAC Certificate
- 5 years' experience as an HSE Officer.
- Knowledge of OSHA, MHSA, Primary Environmental Acts and Regulations in South Africa.
- Valid Driver's License
- R260K - R275K P/A
- Contribution to Provident Fund
