- Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on the mining sector within African geographic areas, leveraging in-depth knowledge of geological applications to drive revenue growth.
- Deliver targeted product demonstrations and training sessions to mining clients, highlighting the value and functionality of our industry-leading technology solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to mining industry stakeholders, offering expert guidance on geological best practices, exploration techniques, and resource optimization strategies.
- Act as a liaison between mining clients and internal teams, advocating for client requirements and facilitating seamless communication to ensure alignment with product development initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and innovations in the mining industry, actively monitoring market developments and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product enhancement and differentiation.
- Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting assistance to mining clients, addressing challenges and optimizing the performance of our products and software within their operational environments.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the mining sector, fostering long-term partnerships and driving customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization at mining industry events, conferences, and trade shows, positioning our solutions as essential tools for geological exploration, resource evaluation, and mine planning.
- Willingness to travel to remote mine sites approximately 40% of the time (tool of trade vehicle, laptop, and phone provided)
- Confident in Microsoft Office (Excel especially), and Pronto desired.
- Excellent planning, organisational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Highly regarded:
- Background in Geology, Geoscience, Chemistry Science, Drilling Operator/Engineer, or related mining sector fields, with an aligned skill set in the drilling and mining sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Solid technical knowledge of geological principles, exploration methods, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
