Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies to project commissioning and ongoing performance analysis. - Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify suitable locations for wind energy projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop wind farm layouts, considering factors such as wind resources, land constraints, and environmental impact.
- Perform wind resource assessments and energy production estimations using industry-standard software and tools.
- Design wind turbine foundations and support structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during project construction, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
- Conduct performance analysis of wind farms, identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in wind energy to drive innovation and improve project efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in the wind energy industry or renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in wind resource assessment tools, such as WindPRO, WAsP, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine design principles, including aerodynamics, structural mechanics, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 61400 series, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for wind farm layout design and structural analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyse complex data sets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
