Financial Administrator - CenturionFull job descriptionPosition: Financial AdministratorSalary: Market relatedLocation: CenturionJob type: PermanentIndustry: Information TechnologyReference Number: CWR.UI.FA.27112023COMPANY DESCRIPTION:Our client is a recognised resource in the design and installation of data, voice and video solutions and they are looking for a skilled Financial Administrator / Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of financial and office administration tasks.JOB DESCRIPTION:Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. The successful candidate will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts as well as clerical and administrative tasks for the office.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting departmentType accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and recordsPrepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statementsReconcile accounts in a timely mannerDaily enter key data of financial transactions in databaseAssist and support company personnelResearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesInform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsMaintain the asset registerPerforming basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other dataMaintaining general office files, including job files, vendor files, and other files related to the companys operations.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:MatricEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Proven accounting / financial admin experienceFamiliarity with bookkeeping, basic accounting and office management proceduresCompetency in MS Office, databases and accounting softwareHands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reportsAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbersAbility to perform filing and record keeping tasksWell organizedThe capacity to multitask and prioritise workloadThe ability to work to a high level under extreme pressureThe capacity to work alone or as part of a teamReliability, honesty and leadership skills (may be involved in project management at some stage)Discretion and respect for confidential information.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.POPIABy Submitting your CV, you confirm that:We may retain your personal information in our database for future matching.We may contact you when suitable opportunities arise.The information you have provided to us is true, correct and up to date.We endeavour to reply to each and every application, however, should you not hear back from us within 14 days please consider your application unsuccessful.
