We require the services of an energetic Junior Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee contractors. This would be construction for predominantly house renovations and upgrades to the group’s healthcare centres.If you would like to work for a dynamic and reputable retirement group then this is the job for you.Duties include but is not limited to the following:– Responsible for on-site management and supervision– Ensure that the highest level of quality is maintained at all times– Ensure that contractors carry out their work as per the specifications and plans issued– Ensure that health and safety requirements are enforced and maintained– Ensure that material orders are submitted timeously– Ensure that building program is followed and any deviations are reported and managed– Ensure that subcontractors are co-ordinated and programmed in order to meet the program– Manage the site in an orderly and efficient way– Ensure that attention to detail is always maintainedRequirements:Matric
Related tertiary qualification advantageous
Experience and knowledge
2 year’s relevant experience in the construction industry and in residential developments
Site experience
Skills and Attributes
Computer literate
Good written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent time management skills
Good organisational skills
Self motivated
Disciplined
Specific requirements
No criminal record
Own transport
