Salary Range: R28,000 – R31,000 per monthJob SummaryA skilled Refrigerator Technician is required to maintain and repair refrigeration systems across multiple sites. The successful candidate will ensure equipment performance is optimized, downtime is minimized, and all systems run efficiently in a high-demand environment. This role calls for a strong technical background, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work under pressure.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration issues, implementing effective solutions.Conduct regular inspections of refrigeration equipment to detect and resolve potential issues proactively.Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure safe and effective operation of all equipment.Keep accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair work completed.RequirementsQualificationsTrade test in refrigeration or equivalent qualification (e.g., Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning).Electrical background or qualification advantageous.Experience3–5 years’ experience in refrigeration maintenance and repair, preferably in the hospitality, food services, or QSR sector.Driver’s LicenceValid Code 10 driver’s licence with a Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).SkillsStrong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
