Senior Sea Freight Forwarding Controller - GermistonFull job descriptionSea Freight Forwarding Controller is required for a Logistics Company based in Germiston.RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute the logistics processes, to ensure client needs are met in a timeous manner.Ensure compliance with the countries customs, shipping regulations, quality requirements and safety procedures.Prepare shipping documentation for custom purposes.Execute and organise all activities related to the logistics for customers.Freight Forwarding in respect of specific transport movements.Ensure that all client requirements are met to the service level agreed and proactively communicate any potential issues.Provide quick and responsive service.Build relationships with the upstream and downstream supply chain, external service providers and clients.Qualification, Skills and AttributesRelevant tertiary degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.3 - 5 years working experience in a relative role.Strong focus on customer satisfactionExcellent interpersonal skills to be able to deal with both service providers and customersGood problem solving skillsExperience in freight forwarding industryBroad range of experience gained from supply chain, logistics, transportation and forwarding.Good planning, organising and controlling skillsGood time management, operationally driven and results focusedAttention to detailExperience with Word & ExcelWorking knowledge of SAPEnsure that all quality, safety and environment system controls are complied with.Update weekly/ monthly reports as required for internal and external reporting.Prepare estimates and provide feedback for submission to client.Ensure that services provided are in line with the quote provided to the clients.Verifying service provider’s invoices.Finalise the shipment file, consolidating invoices and accounts reconciliation.Submission to Finance for Invoicing.Pre-alert turnaround timeTime to receive Bill of LadingTime to receive Freight InvoiceSubmitting of reports on timeCustomer complaints and Non conformances raised.On time recon and invoicing of shipmentsJob Type: Full-timeSalary: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per monthAbility to Commute:Germiston, Gauteng (Required)Ability to Relocate:Germiston, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/03/31
