Forklift Operator

• Operate a forklift safely to transport raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage or staging areas
• Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently, ensuring no damage to goods
• Conduct pre-operation checks and report mechanical issues immediately
• Maintain proper stacking, handling, and inspection of pallets
• Assist in preparing materials such as trolleys, cylinders, and solvents for the next shift
• Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with 5S, GMP, HACCP, and EHS standards
• Record movement logs and support inventory tracking as needed
• Adhere to all site safety protocols, including PPE and traffic rules

• Grade 10 or 12; ITI in a relevant trade (Motor Mechanic, Fitter) is an advantage
• 2 to 6 years’ experience in forklift operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Valid South African forklift license (LMV or HMV depending on load class)
• Solid understanding of forklift maintenance and safe operating practices
• Awareness of GMP, HACCP, 5S, and EHS standards
• Physically fit, disciplined, and able to work rotating shifts under pressure
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
