To receive structured on-the-job training and classroom instruction to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic. The apprenticeship program focuses on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy-duty machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.Key Responsibilities:Assist with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining earthmoving equipment.Learn to disassemble and reassemble engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and brake systems.Assist with inspections and routine servicing of machines.Clean, organize, and maintain tools and workshop equipment.Record maintenance and repair activities accurately.Attend all theoretical training modules (e.g., at a TVET college or training center).Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment.Learn to use diagnostic tools and mechanical instruments.Requirements:Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science OR
N2/N3 Certificate with relevant trade theory subjects (Diesel, Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Engineering).Must be a South African citizen, between 18 and 35 years old.Physically fit and able to work in demanding workshop or field conditions.Willingness to commit to the full apprenticeship duration.Good problem-solving and technical aptitude.Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.Advantageous:Driver’s license (Code B or higher).Previous exposure to mechanical or workshop environments.Basic computer literacy.Stipend:Monthly stipend provided as per apprenticeship guidelinesThe post appeared first on .
