Estimator

• Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years' experience as an Estimator
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the estimating function in the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years on site experience in the construction industry.

• Strong working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical discipline and the capacity to understand unique project requirements.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and building construction productivities.
• Sound knowledge of standard contract documentation and specifications.
• Ability to review the tender documentation and identify any potential risks and/or gains.
• Advanced Proficiency of CCS estimating and planning modules.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word & Outlook).

• Technical Skill and Competence: Demonstrates detailed knowledge and expertise in relation to the construction industry; readily absorbs new technical information and keeps up to date in specialist areas; examines tender documentation thoroughly to ensure all aspects of the project have been understood and any risks/gains have been accounted for. Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Commercial Orientation: Knowledgeable about financial and commercial matters; focuses on costs, profits, markets, new business opportunities and activities which will bring the largest return.
