- Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- At least 5 years' experience as an Estimator
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the estimating function in the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years on site experience in the construction industry.
- Strong working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical discipline and the capacity to understand unique project requirements.
- Knowledge of civil engineering and building construction productivities.
- Sound knowledge of standard contract documentation and specifications.
- Ability to review the tender documentation and identify any potential risks and/or gains.
- Advanced Proficiency of CCS estimating and planning modules.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word & Outlook).
- Technical Skill and Competence: Demonstrates detailed knowledge and expertise in relation to the construction industry; readily absorbs new technical information and keeps up to date in specialist areas; examines tender documentation thoroughly to ensure all aspects of the project have been understood and any risks/gains have been accounted for. Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
