Duties & Responsibilities
- Take customer orders and prepare food to their specifications.
- Prepare and cook a variety of foods including meats, fish, vegetables, gravies, cereals, soups, fruits, bakery products, and more.
- Prepare and cook food for special diets using recipes formulated by qualified personnel.
- Assist in on-the-job training and help direct the work of food service workers, students, and other employees.
- Plan and manage work orders to ensure all items of an order are completed and served simultaneously.
- Assist in the preparation of salads and desserts.
- Grill, cook, and fry foods as required.
- Notify supervisor of food and supply needs; check in deliveries as necessary.
- Maintain accurate food production records.
- Clean kitchen, utensils, and equipment; ensure refrigerators and freezers are secured.
- Serve food as required, maintaining maximum standards of sanitation and safety.
- Promptly report equipment issues and food quality concerns to the kitchen manager.
- Use standardized recipe cards for all food preparation.
- Assist in functions as per client request, including setup, food preparation, service, and cleanup

- 2 - 4 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
