Market and sell our products to an existing customer base and to new potential customers, find new business Develop, maintain and improve customer relationships Actively research, identify and contact new sales prospects Must be able to communicate with all levels of management Presentation, Customer negotiation and interpersonal skills essential Develop and maintain a regular calling schedule Taking of buying orders Checking stock levels at buyers and retailers Research new products, special developments and other sales opportunities and communicate the feedback / information. Seek out new opportunities, analyse the market and provide feedback Develop and maintain sales materials and product knowledge Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all our products and have some technical knowledge in the tooling industry, therefore developing sound product knowledge and competent demonstration skills Conduct regular training presentations for customers Attend and network at Demo events in order to drive sales Handle customer queries and complaints, must have excellent customer service skills Assist with marketing if required Prepare and submit a variety of reports General administration relating to the position Excellent customer relationship skills Self-motivated, dedicated, target driven Money hungry and seasoned within the industry Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) as well as active listening skills Strong reporting skills Organised approach to working, must have good organisational skills, thorough with paperwork and keep required logs Excellent time management Be able to work independently whilst maintaining team view and attitude Compilation of marketing strategy and implementation of plans to support strategy Drawing up and executing an aggressive sales plan that delivers growth on a year on year basis Ability to analyse, interpret and manage sales data Meeting and exceeding agreed monthly and quarterly sales forecast Complying with current routine administrative procedures promptly and accurately Strong attention to detail Review price surveys to ensure on par with competitors Must be willing to travel and grow your area - not negotiable Ability to work under pressure Flexible working hours, able to start early, work evenings and weekends Work with professionalism, focus, responsibility and passion Computer literate Presentable appearance with sober habits Mature, responsible, trustworthy Must have on the road external sales experience - Hunter - must be excited about earning commission Degree level education Technical or tertiary qualifications in marketing, sales or similar is essential Previous working experience in sales within retail markets is essential Minimum 5 years external sales experience with proven sales track record in the hardware / tool industry Recent contactable references Own reliable transport and valid driving license Experience in soft / hard / LVF / flooring / hardware and tool market or related industries is advantageous This is a commission only position. NO Basic, good commission structure.
