Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.The project:The Johannesburg delivery team is busy with a large infrastructure project, and we are looking for an inspirational enthusiastic project manager to assist in delivering this project.If you are searching for an opportunity to work in a high-energy infrastructure consultancy team while delivering a unique programme, please register your interest.You’ll be responsible for:
  • Leads projects to deliver agreed outcomes within defined time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Coordinates with all stakeholders to align project objectives and KPIs, providing daily leadership.
  • Manage internal fees, risk mitigation, and change control effectively.
  • Determines and secures technical services and external resources required for project delivery.
  • Supervises project teams and stakeholders to meet performance targets in line with the project plan.
  • Upholds Mace’s “Safety First” value, engaging with the HSW framework.
  • Maintains and updates project plans to reflect evolving requirements.
  • Supports senior project managers and manages intermediate tasks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitors budgets and timelines, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensures quality systems are robust and aligned with Mace Way/Service Excellence.
  • Manages procurement, tracks project changes, and ensures proper documentation.
  • Promotes sustainability, innovation, and collaboration, leveraging internal knowledge hubs and aiming for net zero carbon goals.
You’ll need to have:
  • Experienced project manager with a strong background in the built environment, supported by a university degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Holds or is working towards professional accreditation with the South African Council of Project Management (SACPCMP).
  • Brings proven experience in project management with growing expertise in the construction delivery phase.
  • Possesses tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, showcasing intermediate-level role knowledge and capability in managing construction and project operations.
