QUALITY MANAGER - MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT - CAPE TOWNFull job descriptionMESHCOBlackheath, Cape TownCost to Company of R20 000 to R25 000We are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Manager who has experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.Meshco is a third generation, family-owned and managed Company. Our products are found here, and overseas, in stadiums and bridges, they hold up the fresh produce that grace our tables, they keep miners safe underground, and our fencing products secure those who matter to you most. More likely than not, when you see a fence or concrete structure in Cape Town; our products are involved.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDesigning and implementing the framework and methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipmentEnsuring that products adhere to quality standardsPreparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing dataManaging the quality teamTraining and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goodsTracking products through the manufacturing process to ensure that each part of the process is correctPerforming detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standardsEliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problemsManage the quality and auditing-process and reportingOwn weekly calibration sessions to ensure consistencyCompile and distribute quality reporting in a standard formatDrive requirements for technical quality and auditing solutionsProvide clear insight into performance driversLiaise with Operations on coaching and areas for improvementPrepare reports and analysis, including relevant analyses versus prior periods and forecasts and associated risks/opportunities.Preparing a weekly/monthly report to management summarizing site Quality activities, concerns, and project Quality statistics for the period.Drive the development of robust quality improvement coaching and training processes to drive continuous improvement.SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESThorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality ManagementA self-starter, capable of working without direct supervision and to maintain high performance.Proven background of quality related analysis, with the ability to draw conclusions and recommend improvement initiatives.Managerial skills to ensure the effectiveness of staff.Ability to evaluate data, identify issues and provide improvement recommendations,Attention to detail.Project management skills and experienceAbility to analyze and interpret data, draw conclusions with the ability to make and implement decisions.Experience in writing documentation and standard operating proceduresDemonstrated ability to drive process changes and improvements.Exceptional written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.Goal driven.Proficiency of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Professional approach to working with colleagues at all levels.Proven ability to influence change at all levels.REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMatric / Equivalent (essential)Diploma/Degree (Management or Quality Management) – advantageousMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentBilingual (English and Afrikaans.)Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 14th April 2024The company reserves the right not to make an appointment.Recruitment and selection will be made in terms of the Company Employment Equity and Equal Opportunity Policy.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per monthExperience:Quality Management: 3 years (Required)Language:English and Afrikaans (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/04/14
